Millennium Falcon Hi-Res
thingiverse
In the latest update, I have added the separated version of the Star Wars fan art model, which I made long ago before obtaining a 3D printer. Although it isn't entirely accurate due to some parts borrowed from other meshes, I decided to upload it for May the 4th celebration. The underside lacks detail but this should facilitate support removal when printed upside down. The original design was much more intricate; however, many thin elements had to be removed for successful printing. The current test print is progressing well, though it's a lengthy 3-hour process at 0% infill and 0.2mm @about 60ms feed rate. To improve the mesh for printing, I'm working on it and will soon release the cut up version. I initially printed the full-sized model to envisage a scale similar to old AMT plastic kits, currently experimenting with different printing positions to achieve optimal results. However, considering the challenges of this print, the separated version might be worth waiting for.
