I work in an environment where cash is so plentiful that it's often left unattended, yet food, especially milk, is seen as fair game by some individuals. It's not meant to thwart determined thieves but rather to deter casual pilfering. This design fits standard molded plastic milk bottles found in the UK, which feature a 38-400 thread size. I'm uncertain if this applies to other countries. The lock used is a combination luggage lock with a 3mm diameter shackle. Any lock of similar or smaller size will suffice. You can opt to use the lid with a cable lock instead of the bar and pin mechanism if preferred.
