This silver coin is a one-of-a-kind piece for the Arles workshop, the only known model to date. It's a heavy miliarense coin created in 310. This particular type with four standards was struck after the fall of usurpers Magnence and Decence. Widespread throughout the Empire, this heavy silver coin paid homage to the army that Emperor Constantine II relied on to assert his power.
