The milestone from El Morell, located in the region of Tarragona, Spain, dates back to the 3rd century AD. Found in the town of El Morell, approximately 15 kilometers from Tarragona, along the ancient road that connected these two cities, the inscription on this milestone refers to restoration work carried out by Publius Portus on the route that led from Tarraco to Ilerda during the reigns of Valerian and Gallienus. The Romans placed these milestones along major communication routes to indicate distances in miles between specific locations and the city of Rome. 1,206 photographs were completely processed using Reality Capture technology as part of this project. This initiative was supported by the National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona and the Agencia Catalana del Patrimoni Cultural.
