I spent hours watching Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse repeatedly, so I decided to create a Miles Morales fan sculpt. The design of his suit is inspired directly by the Ultimate Comics All New Spider-Man suit. Additionally, his pose was modeled after the cover of the first issue of Miles' comics run as a gesture of appreciation for Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli's incredible work in bringing this character to life. The sculpture was created using ZBrush, where every detail was meticulously crafted. The UVs were mapped, retopology was performed, and rendering was handled within Autodesk Maya. Substance Painter was the tool of choice for texturing, allowing for a level of realism that brings the character to life. Brandon Colley, an incredibly talented artist, rigged the character in Autodesk Maya, bringing Miles Morales to full movement and animation.
