Towing Mirror Clamp Falls Off, DIY Replacement Born. Deciding not to replace the towing mirror clamp after it fell off on one trip, I took matters into my own hands and gave making my own a try. To create this design, you'll need a 13mm M8 nut and bolt. For the bolt, I had to add a small ball to the end using a Dremel. Some rubber matting is also used to give the mirror clamp some grip and protect your car's mirror when attached.
