This is designed to be a safe place to store or travel with a large size (44/45mm) Apple Milanese Loop watch band when you aren't wearing it. I didn't feel comfortable just trowing it in a drawer or bag. It closely fits the band in its most over lapped configuration, and the lit snaps on with a friction fit. There are two fingernail/coin slots to pop it open.
