Update 20/01/22: *Added new Propellers with thicker blades for better printing on smaller scales. *Improved front wheel support (the previous one was kind on floppy). *the propellers are now split into 5, 2 part blades, so it can fit smaller printers. The Mil Mi-8 "Hip" is a medium twin-turbine helicopter, originally designed by the Soviet Union, and now produced by Russia. In addition to its most common role as a transport helicopter, the Mi-8 is also used as an airborne command post, armed gunship, and reconnaissance platform. This model was created from scatch using Blender3D The model is best suited for these scales: 1:48 or 100%: 412mm x 515mm x 123mm 1:72 or 66.7%: 274mm x 343mm x 82mm 1:100 or 48%: 197mm x 247mm x 59mm (the model has been succesfully printed up to 1:72 scale without issues with small parts, im currently working on enlarging some of the smallest pieces, so be adviced if youre trying to print smaller versions) The model is divided into 23 parts, 2 of which are solid variants of the nose and fuselage, and 10 of them being cockpit detail pieces which are not necessary if youre printing the "solid version". Im also working on adding an open door version with more details and a ramp for the rear side of the fuselage If theres something missing or you want me to add something else, please let me know. I will be uploading pictures of the model after it is assembled.
