Mil - Crooks 40 (Performance Cruising Sailboat)

Mission Statement: Mil will be an auxiliary sailboat, designed to excel as both a performance cruiser and a vessel for single-handed sailing or hosting a crew of six. Built with temperate climates in mind, she is also engineered to navigate the open ocean with a total endurance of 25 days. Mil represents the perfect balance between speed and luxury, making her an ideal choice for regattas as well as longer coastal or oceanic cruises. This is my first preliminary design of a sailboat, and I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to bring it to life while studying naval architecture in college. As an avid sailor, I sought to create a vessel that would be both fun to sail and fast in competitive regattas. I extend my gratitude to the GrabCad Community for providing access to their extensive library of CAD files, which played a crucial role in my design process. In turn, I hope to contribute to this community by sharing my own knowledge and experience with others who are bringing their ideas to fruition.
