Mikromedia Plus Development Board Case
thingiverse
This is a custom case designed to accommodate the Mikromedia Plus development boards. The primary function of this enclosure is to hold both the main board and the shield, providing easy access to click boards located on the back. This enclosure is suitable for all Mikromedia plus boards. Assembly requires securing both boards into place using 4-20 plastite screws that are 1/4 inch in length. The SolidWorks files have been included, allowing users to modify the design as needed. Notably, this case does not rely on traditional mechanical fasteners to hold it together; instead, it uses pin headers, making it an ideal solution for prototyping purposes. A primary consideration is accommodating the layout of the main Mikromedia board. This is crucial for developing custom shields that match the specific design requirements. The files were generated using SolidWorks, and users can modify these files as needed to suit their particular needs. Instructions on printing this case include the use of a DaVinci Pro 2.0 printer with supports. Printing at .3mm layers and a 30% fill setting enables faster production but could be improved upon by utilizing thinner layer settings for an even smoother finish.
