Mike-Monsters Inc.
thingiverse
In the eerie darkness of the monsters' underground lair, a lone figure emerges, his eyes glowing like lanterns in the night. His name is Mike Wazowski, a diminutive monster with a gargantuan heart and a grin that can charm the warts off an unsuspecting creature. For twenty-five years, Mike has called Monstropolis home, working alongside the esteemed Fungus among us at Monsters, Inc., where scream-extracting has been the primary function since its inception in 1950s. Monsters live a secret existence in our world, existing just beyond our everyday perceptions, hiding behind smoke-filled doorways and crumbling walls. Their city is a vast labyrinth of underground tunnels, abandoned factories, and rickety apartments, illuminated by a constant mist that drifts through the shadows like the faintest whispers from another realm. Every morning, Mike trudges through the grayness with purpose, knowing his job as Top Scarer involves being the primary scream-generator at Monsters Inc. When the morning arrives, his fellow scarers assemble at their desks, where eerie sounds of shrieks and creaking metal dominate the soundstage. This particular company specializes in converting the collected screams into energy for the entire city of Monstropolis. With one misstep, though, the fragile balance is disrupted. Mike and James Sullivan discover a little girl living in their apartment complex above them in the world above the ground - a realm previously unseen to their kind, where tiny humans inhabit. This little princess named Boo not only invades but soon bonds with both monsters. Unaware of the repercussions, Monsters Inc's employees take action by accidentally introducing her to the scream-extraction machines. In doing so, an unintended sequence is triggered which leads the public of Monstropolis into panic as it dawns on them their most essential power source, the children's screams, have a weakness – human emotions.
