Mihai Eminescu, a renowned Romanian poet and writer, was born on January 15, 1850, in a small town called Mediaş. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential Romanian poets of all time, known for his unique blend of Romanticism and modernity. As a young man, Eminescu was an active member of the Junimea literary society and worked as an editor for the newspaper Timpul, which was the official publication of the Conservative Party. Eminescu's poetry was first published when he was just 16 years old, and by the time he was 19, he had already traveled to Vienna to study. His manuscripts, consisting of 46 volumes and approximately 14,000 pages, were gifted to the Romanian Academy in 1902 by Titu Maiorescu.
