The Mig-21 is the world's first supersonic jet aircraft, hailing from Russia and boasting a single engine and single seater design, making it a multirole fighter/ground attack aircraft of unmatched prowess. As the "back-bone" of India's air force, these planes played a pivotal role in the 1971 Indo-Pak War, and today they continue to serve as interceptors with a limited scope. The Mig-21 remains renowned as the world's top fighter jet, with an impressive production run of over 11,000 aircraft, a testament to its enduring reputation. Its design was inspired by a warplane used during the Croatian independence war.
