I posted this in hopes that someone will find it helpful, as I'm not sure if it'll fix your MIG130 gasless welder, but give it a shot! This mod is specifically for the cheap MIG130, which I also modified to accommodate DC welding with a rectifier (check out the second photo, where the FCAW gun has its negative lead connected). The main issue was that the wire would continue feeding after releasing the trigger, causing it to stick to the weld pool. Adding this brake mechanism has made a huge difference in minimizing the run-on problem - all it had before was a basic retainer with little tension and no adjustment capabilities. To install, simply drill two holes and attach 15mmx3mm bolts to adjust the tension as needed.
