The model boasts intricate detailing, staying within a few inches of actual dimensions and featuring a detailed exterior, engine exhaust, afterburner section, and cockpit. Fully textured with flight instruments and engine components, the MIG-23 Flogger B also offers numerous animateable features such as variable sweep wings, flaps, flaperons, stabilizers, rudder, wheels, landing gear, landing gear doors, missiles, rockets, opening canopy, throttle, stick, toggle switches, and more. Available in various formats, this model is a successor to the MiG-23M and MF models, codenamed Flogger-B by NATO. Developed in the 1960s, the 'swing-wing' MiG-23 Flogger was designed as a replacement for the MiG-21, offering greater payload, range, and firepower with beyond visual range intercept capabilities from onboard sensors. It was the first VVS fighter to feature look-down/shoot-down capabilities and was used as the top aggressor aircraft by the Soviet Air Force from the late 1970s to the late 1980s. Despite being phased out of front-line service in 1999, serving now only reserve and training units, MiG-23 fighters continue to be widely used with export customers.
