MiFi 7730L Battery Bypass

MiFi 7730L Battery Bypass

thingiverse

I built a custom battery bypass for my MiFi 7730L hotspot using an original lithium battery circuit board and a buck converter to convert USB 5v to the exact 3.8v required by the device. I also had to carefully notch the battery cover to allow the cable to pass through, securing everything in place with hot glue. The circuit board must be precisely positioned for it to work properly, but the end result is a reliable and compact solution that eliminates the risk of overheating my hotspot while parked in the car. This design was created because I couldn't find a suitable commercial product on the market that fulfilled this specific need, and now I can leave my device safely powered up without worrying about battery combustion or power loss when the car turns off. As a first-time 3D designer, I'm aware of areas for improvement, but so far, this setup works flawlessly.
