A creative USB midi host DIY project converts your USB midi keyboard into DIN format, eliminating the need for computer mediation between the keyboard and synth. The USB host board supplies 5v to the midi keyboard. It measured 9v at 35ma without any connections, and 70ma when connected to a Novation Launchkey mini via the USB port.
