Middleton Moor Rock Art
sketchfab
A remarkable rock carving discovered on Langbar Moor in North Yorkshire, England, measures approximately 2.5 meters along its longest axis, stretching from north to south. A scheduling report describes the stone as bearing three cup marks adorned with rings; one cup boasts a single ring, another displays two rings, and the third exhibits remnants of a third ring. Yet, a high-resolution 3D model, which boasts an astonishing 94 million vertices at a sub-millimeter level, reveals additional areas of carving, including a potential multiringed motif at the southern end and a cluster of cups located at the northern extremity, previously obscured by vegetation.
