UPDATE 20.JAN.2014: Added a new version (MicroWave V2) which is even smaller, offering more clearance towards the block, while maintaining performance. STEP files are now available for both versions. Enjoy! Inspired by GIjs's Ultimaker belt tensioners, I created these tiny devices to address my own issue with old and slack belts. To achieve additional tension, I designed MicroWave, allowing two per belt. Their rigidity is impressive, especially considering their compact size, ensuring compatibility with standard UM bearing blocks without any issues. Verify this, as I don't have the stock blocks on hand! Print MicroWave with 100% infill and print as many as needed. Simply slip them onto your belts, taking note that the wave's belly should face away from the bearing blocks for optimal clearance.
With this file you will be able to print MicroWave with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on MicroWave .
