Our office coworking space's microwave lacked a crucial plastic component connecting the motor shaft to the tray's glass knurls. In the absence of calipers, I estimated measurements and made iterations to ensure a proper fit. Although the shaft still rubbed against the floor hole, it no longer caused nuclear char spots on our leftovers after testing. Overall, this improvised fix proved successful for our shared workspace appliance.
