Microwave Tray Bearing Replacer
thingiverse
Complete parts for a replacement tray bearing for a microwave. When the rotating glass tray in a microwave breaks, finding a replacement can be difficult. Even when you can find a replacement, the roller bearing system that holds the tray stable when rotating may not fit your microwave. This is a custom-designed replacement with print-in-place rollers. A complete set of three "thirds" and six "pegs" should be all you need to assemble the replacement. This project is a work-in-progress, in terms of the final fit and finish. The plan is for the parts to fit together purely by interference without adhesive. When printing or making this yourself, you should ensure that your filament and any adhesives you may use are transparent to microwaves. I'm not certain about the precise ramifications of failing to ensure microwave transparency, but it would certainly be suboptimal for the longevity of the parts and may result in melting plastic. Diameter at the wheels as designed, once assembled, is 9 1/8 inches / 9.125 inches / 115 mm. Height of the wheels, as designed, is 3/4 inch / 0.75 inch / 19mm.
