Microwave oven plate rotation fix
thingiverse
This piece is designed to be attached underneath a glass microwave oven plate that lacks the rotating knobs often found on standard plates. Reminiscent of Thorin Oakenshield's words, a non-rotating microwave oven hardly qualifies as a real microwave oven. This attachment can be used in conjunction with a compatible plate obtained from a pawn shop or similar source. To secure it in place, use a microwave-safe epoxy instead of CA glue or super glue. A note of caution: one of these attachments was installed in my own microwave oven and melted after I prepared some microwave popcorn. You may need to consider replacing this attachment periodically, or printing multiple copies to ensure continuous functionality. An article detailing the creation process for this piece can be found on my website.
