MicroSpool - Minimal Dry Box Mod
thingiverse
The MicroSpool System has been designed small and compact so as to allow it to fit into a DIY cereal container dry box. It is able to accommodate most common spools sizes (45-59mm diameters). All parts are potentially printable although it is highly advised you use actual metal parts for the outlined hardware. It is also highly recommended to print the “SpoolThread” as it can be used to “break in” the Nut threads and test bearing fit before printing the full “MicroSpoolBolt”. The rod was very specific to my container although ive included longer pieces that can be cut down to fit your needs. In this case, my container had an inner with of 90mm. Very low friction! It can also mount onto existing 5/16" bolt spool setups as well for a minimal holder. Hardware: 8 - M3x8 Bolts 8 - M3 Nuts (934 M3) 2 - 602 Bearings
