Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000
thingiverse
Microsoft's popular wireless mouse has one notable flaw: occasionally, the mouse wheel develops an unappealing rubbery resistance. The wheel rotates smoothly and is designed to roll from side to side as well. However, this lateral motion results in a longitudinal shaft. After extended use, that shaft becomes loose, causing the rubber wheel to rub against the body when rolling it away from you. This unwanted sensation feels like a resistance and diminishes the overall user experience. Fortunately, a small spacer can be inserted between the shaft and its mount, eliminating the longitudinal movement of the shaft. This clever fix prevents the rubber wheel from rubbing on the housing and restores your mouse to its former glory. Who wouldn't love a fresh-feeling mouse?
