Microsoft Surface tag library
thingiverse
The parametric surface tags should be 3/4" square in size. Customize them by adjusting the byte number, border, back, and corners as per your requirements. These tags work effectively on the 1.0 version of the surface. If they are not recognized, capture a picture of the surface with high dot/non-dot contrast for better recognition. To ensure optimal results, print these tags using UV-reflective filament; clear filament is not recommended. The height of the tags significantly impacts their performance - shorter tags may result in excessive background reflection from within the tag. To enhance visibility, consider coloring the inside with a black marker. These tags can be added to various objects, transforming them into functional printed surface controls. For reference, check out the updated instructions accompanied by pictures that showcase successful prints, such as the burr puzzle pieces printed sideways with support and careful cleaning.
