I designed a Simple LED Cover with Cable Strain Relief for Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) to accommodate my wife's preference for a bedroom without LEDs. As an added feature, I integrated strain relief into the design since the cable exits vertically from the device. This was a straightforward addition that didn't add significant complexity, so it seemed like a worthwhile inclusion. The SCAD file is included for anyone who wants to customize this design further.
