Microsoft LifeCam VX-2000 Holder

Human: Just a little side project I worked on to mount a webcam to an Ultimaker 2+. Attach double-sided adhesive to the bottom of the square base, pick your corner, and you're good to go! Print Settings Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Infill: 50% (Dense) Notes: This was printed with a 0.4 mm nozzle, on the High Quality preset (0.06 mm), in blue PLA. Sliced in Cura 2.3.1. Combined print time on all 3 parts took around 2 hours. Use high-quality settings for this print only! The screw holes are extremely tiny, and the tolerances on this part are extremely low as well. Post-Printing Finishing Touches The finished product required copious amounts of sanding, trimming, filing, and other massaging to get everything to fit in its final sitting form. Remove a lot of material from the connector piece once you finish printing; I ended up with about 1mm of extra material on the side that made the part not fit right. If you're using the included screws with the webcam after disassembly, use the silver long screws and cut down the top screw holes mounting the holder to the PCB by about a millimeter. How I Designed This Design Created in SolidWorks 2016. Mocked up from scratch, started off with creating the PCB sketch for reference, mapped all the screw holes correctly for the holder, and went on from there.
