Microsoft Lifecam Studio Y frame mount
thingiverse
I'm excited to share that I've designed a custom camera mount for my Microsoft Lifecam Studio, which will allow me to monitor my prints in real-time via Octoprint's webcam feature. To free up some space, I decided to build one from scratch instead of relying on a tripod. I repurposed an old Y idler for this project, giving the "Camera Mount" a dual function as both the Y idler and base for attaching the arms. The mount is thoughtfully designed with symmetry in mind, making it easy to install in any configuration that suits my needs. I've created two versions of the arms, one short with a 20mm shaft and another long with a 40mm shaft, allowing me to achieve the perfect height and angle for my camera. To secure everything in place, I used M3 screws throughout the assembly.
