Comments in Spanish below - Comentarios en español, mas abajo. This is box and lid assembly intended to provide a fixed allocation for a useful Ender 3 accessory. In this excellent printer, the uSD slot is too close to the base of the printer, and inserting/extracting the tiny little card is cumbersome. Using the ribbon converter (see photograph) is a really nice solution, but I found myself moving the SD slot case in order to avoid potential jamming with the moving parts of the printer, and in fact, with any other tools and objects in the neighborhood, as the ribbon is really long! I managed to fix the whole length of the ribbon to the motherboard case, starting at the microSD slot, going down a few mm. and then backward, up again, and finally upwards and toward the front of the left vSlot beam (2040). This is probably self-explanatory with the aid of a couple of snapshots, which I intend to upload. Anyhow, I wanted a means to fix the SD card slot case to the vSlot beam and this is exactly the purpose of this design. The 3D case assembly has 2 parts: the Box and the Lid. You can opt to just print the Box and use the assembly without a cover. The case will fit snuggly into the box so it shouldn't move and stay put. I uploaded two versions for each component: 'a' versions are slightly different, and I would recommend those versions. The 'a' Lid version makes extraction of the SD card more comfortable. The 'a' Box version attaches to the vSlot beam via a single M3 screw and allows the front part of the Box to overhang a little. You may probably find this will improve the SD extraction operation! You can also print mixed versions, i.e., an 'a' Box and a Non 'a' Lid. Last-minute Addendum: I have modified slightly the Lid files, both versions, in order to strengthen the locking tabs a little bit. The original version snapped ok, but when removing the cover, if too much force was applied to the tabs, they eventually broke. So the thickness of the tab´s wall was thickened a bit. In any case, be careful not to apply too much flexion when removing.
