This handy device serves as a simple press for preparing permanent microscope slides with ease. To mount your specimen, apply a small amount of nail polish to the slide, then place your specimen on top and cover with a cover glass - take care not to overdo it with the polish. Directions: 1. Place a thin layer of nail polish on the slide, position your specimen in the center, and add another coat of polish above it before covering with a cover glass. 2. Position the press over the slide, ensuring the cover glass remains firmly in place, and weigh down the basket with approximately 25 grams - pennies or bolts work well as alternatives to weights. 3. Allow the mixture to dry for two hours within the press; prematurely removing it may result in tiny bubbles. The assembly consists of five components that easily snap together, except possibly the rod, which might require a little glue - a metal rod with a diameter of 1.104 cm and a height of 11 cm is included but can be replaced with a similar rod or a wooden dowel as long as it measures around 1.1 cm in diameter.
