I purchased the Adafruit USB microscope (http://www.adafruit.com/products/636) and found that its arm needed improvement. To enhance its functionality, I replaced it with a clamp designed for the 7/16" diameter rod of my Panavise, allowing for effortless inspection of boards. The 5" long reach provides ample extension, and it is secured by two 1/4-20 screws and nuts. Hex slots on the bottom accommodate nuts, while I plan to add knobs for adjusting the hex screws. The clamp's plastic construction ensures strong friction without requiring undoing of screws when moving the camera. Assembly is straightforward with only two screws and nuts needed.
