To improve my USB microscope's accuracy, I created a custom mount using a worm for adjustment. Inspired by a microscope hack, I now enjoy 10x and 60x magnification, but find 200x unstable. For the assembly, you'll need: - 2 x 8mm steel shaft (about 30cm each) - 1 x M10 thread bar (about 30cm) - 2 x LM8UU linear bearings - 3 x M10 nuts - 2 x M3, 20mm bolts - 2 x M3 nuts Attach a M10 nut to the microscope mount and another to the gear. Mount a M10 nut on the other side of the gear, connecting it to the thread bar. Insert a linear bearing into the microscope mount and screw the thread bar through the M10 nut. Finally, assemble the bottom and top plastic pieces using a small hammer.
