This camera mount will securely fasten a point-and-shoot compact camera to the eyepiece tube of a microscope. Its design is specifically tailored for tubes measuring 33mm (1.31 inches) in diameter by 60mm (2.30 inches) in length. When the eyepiece is installed, the mount slips effortlessly over the tube. Adjustable screws on the side enable users to tailor it to fit smaller tubes with ease. A ¼ -20 x ¾-inch screw firmly holds the camera in place, while holes on the side can be tapped for either 10-32 or ¼-20 screws. The use of PLA plastic ensures that the screws can be driven home without initially tapping the holes. Compared to a phone's built-in camera, this compact camera is likely to offer higher resolution and more control over zooming in and adjusting exposure levels. Since cameras come in various sizes, the mount has been designed with sideways adjustability in mind. In some cases, users may find it necessary to insert a washer beneath the camera to fine-tune its height setting. It's essential for the user to ensure that the camera is sufficiently zoomed in until the image fills up the entire screen.
