Microquad frame 8520 motor Eachine QX95 frame replacement
thingiverse
This frame is designed to replace the original Eachine QX95 frame and has proven to be more durable, weighing about the same as its predecessor. The camera holder can be adjusted at an angle and folds back in a crash to protect the cloverleaf. All parts for the QX95 can be transferred over (flight board, motors, camera, LED assembly) and once installed, the frame can be replaced without unsoldering or resoldering any components. I've made some flexible motor guards for the front arms using TPU. Everything holds together with small elastics and the LED strip friction-fits in the frame. For cameras larger than those of the original QX95, a slight modification to the camera holder may be necessary to make space. After extensive use, this frame has proven itself to work great. We compete in a shop filled with concrete and steel, so these frames need to be durable. The stem through the coverleaf and folding antenna have worked well for keeping the antenna safe. Most similar quads could likely use this frame (e.g., qx90, etc.). There's also a cover that streamlines assembly by covering up the flight board, but I no longer use it. Scaling everything x10 should result in accurate sizing. Some of the parts shown were printed with a worn-out nozzle and don't look their best. Those tri-blade props didn't perform well; they're quiet but produce much less thrust than expected.
