Microphone Clamp

Microphone Clamp

thingiverse

This design is compatible with microphones like the SM58 and similar models, and features a 3/8" internal thread that allows for secure mounting to a standard microphone stand. To assemble it properly, you will need an M6x25 internal hex screw along with its corresponding nut (see https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2518438). Compared to the original design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:333971), this version eliminates the need for a separate nut at the bottom, instead incorporating the thread directly into the stand mounting system. The edges have been rounded and the upper section has been completely redesigned to provide a sleek look, maximum adjustability, and a secure grip on the microphone. After printing with only 20% infill, all parts appear to be highly stable and durable, although prolonged use has not yet been tested. Printing supports were used for the clamp, while other parts were printed without them, resulting in excellent outcomes. A Cura screenshot is provided to recommend optimal printing orientations. While this approach works well for the creator's printer, different printers may benefit from alternative orientations due to varying levels of print bed adhesion. Update: September 21st A minor adjustment was made to reduce the size of the hex inset on the knob to ensure compatibility with a wider range of screw heads. Update: September 22nd A reinforced version (mic_clamp4.stl) has been added for users who require extra stability or a tighter grip on their microphone. This modified design features .5 mm thicker walls surrounding the microphone.
