Microphone for Acer Windows Mixed Reality Headset. This Microphone is specifically designed for use with WMR headsets that have a rigid headband loop measuring 25 mm x 2.2 mm. I used this cable: https://www.amazon.com/PoP-voice-Microphone-Headphone-Extension/dp/B0787Y9ZRP/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1551120584&sr=8-3&keywords=3.5+mm+audio+cable+with+microphone+pop This is the microphone I purchased (slow delivery!). The microphone is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LPN89YY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I built this addition based on an amazing design by milosp. You can download the caps to attach it from here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2982060 You can set up your microphone horizontally. To do this, download and print the clamp from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2982060. Then push the end of the 3.5 mm plug into it. It will snap in to place and stay secure. You can also set up your microphone vertically. Use the locking clamp to lock the cable in place by spinning it after connecting. To wire your headset, follow this guide. You can use the remaining internal cable to run the microphone. For the cable I used: White: Right Red: Left Black: Mic I had to run the white line from the female end of the jack into the black line (going to the headset) to get the microphone to work, so be sure to test before you install everything.
