I was inspired by the micrometer stand posted on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1978067 to design a new version where the micrometer is tilted at a 45-degree angle for better visibility of the LCD screen. This makes it easier to read values when the micrometer is standing vertically. After printing, I applied heat to the channel holding the micrometer with hot air and carefully pushed the micrometer into place. To prevent damage to the finger holding the micrometer and ensure even force on the surface, I inserted a thin 0.5mm metal sheet that was 9mm wide and 15mm long between the screw and the finger. A rectangular-shaped M4 nut was used for this purpose.
