Micrometer metric base rotated for easy print (calibrated)
thingiverse
This is an updated version of Lt. Dan's micrometer designed for simplified printing of the base. I attempted to print his original model, rotated so that supports wouldn't be necessary, but encountered several failed prints as the small base struggled with bed adhesion. To overcome this issue, I simply trimmed the model and added a larger, flat base, rotating it in a way that minimized overhangs without requiring support material. The result worked perfectly on my first print attempt. Print Settings: Printer: HE3D Delta 180 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.15mm Infill: 10% Notes: A brim was used to ensure the print remained securely attached to the bed.
