I recently stumbled upon an REI garage sale and observed that many water bottles had been returned due to a faulty latch, with the entire lid available for purchase on their website for $6.95. Figuring why not take the challenge, I decided to create a beefed-up version that could be printed in one's favorite color. Using PETG, although PLA is also an option, support material was only necessary where the latch and ledge above it required additional stability.
