I do plenty of 3D printing and rely heavily on a plier-style micro wire cutter for various tasks: cutting filament ends, removing FDM support material, popping parts off FDM and SLA-built platforms, and cutting off SLA support structures. To store these cutters within easy reach, I used to hang them from a wooden bar equipped with strip magnets. However, the issue is that these pliers don't stick strongly to the magnetic surface and can easily fall into hard-to-reach spaces when knocked off. Today, I decided to address this problem by designing and building a hanger that securely attaches to the mag bar using Goop adhesive. Instead of using magnets or steel, which would require moving the cutters, I opted for a glue-based attachment since they don't need to be relocated frequently. The design wraps around the top of the magnet bar, where the glue is applied, providing a safe and secure storage solution while keeping the cutters easily accessible. I'm also uploading an alternative version with 1/4 inch holes for screws, making it adaptable to different mounting options. While on the topic, I'll create a desktop version as well.
