I was inspired by this cool project: https://blog.prusaprinters.org/3d-print-an-oversized-media-control-volume-knob-arduino-basics/. I also checked out the Media Knob Projects on thingiverse.com/FrankLumien. I wanted to create my own media knob, so I bought some electronics: Pro Micro Modul mit ATmega32U4 like an Arduino Leonardo Board, 5V, 16MHz from https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01D0OI90U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I also got a KY-040 Rotary Encoder from https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07CMVQHLT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and two Tactile Switch Buttons 12mm square, 6mm tall from exp-tech.de/zubehoer/tasterschalter/6979/tactile-switch-buttons-12mm-square-6mm-tall-x-10-pack. I needed some tools and other parts too: wire, a soldering iron, solder, and a little bit of glue if required. Next, I designed my own media knob in Fusion 360. I used and modified the code from Frank Lumien, thanks for that! The code includes a wire diagram. With this wheel, you can control volume up and down. Clicking the wheel plays or pauses/mutes the music. Button one is previous track, button two is next track. It works great - have fun!
