I just get fed up with all my Micro USB charging cables tearing apart, which is why I'm looking for a better solution. Apparently, lots of people manage to handle these cords just fine, so it must be me who's been doing something wrong. One decent high current charger can cost around $10, and it really gets to me that I have to replace mine every now and then. That's why I'm going to try a little trick to fix them: There are two types of charging heads. One is bigger than the other, and it works with the Samsung charger you get with your phone. The other one is smaller, but it still gets along great with a Belkin cable. If you want to make one yourself, all you need to do is print 2 pieces out of a thick filament like PLA or ABS, which you can then join together using superglue. This little hack works beautifully, and now my phone stays charged even when the cable tries to rip apart.
