Micro switch bracket for smooth rod.
thingiverse
I designed a switch bracket that's incredibly versatile, making it an ideal replacement for many complex brackets on the market. This bracket provides a snug fit on 8mm rods, which can be easily adapted to accommodate different diameters by simply snapping it onto the rod and then installing the switch. Adjusting its position is also effortless, thanks to its sliding mechanism. This versatile bracket is specifically designed to accommodate standard switches measuring 20X10X6, with a mounting hole distance of 9.6. Unlike traditional brackets, this one doesn't require tapping or drilling, as it can be secured using an M2 screw (simply file the tip to give it a self-tapping appearance if needed) or a self-tapping screw in sizes 1.5 to 1.8. If the bracket appears too tall, you can easily trim it along the marked line. For optimal performance, I recommend using either PETG or ABS materials due to their exceptional strength and resistance to breakage. This versatile bracket is perfect for use on X and Y axes; however, for precise adjustments on the Z-axis, a specialized bracket designed specifically for fine tuning may be necessary.
