This version is 2mm higher than the Pflaumino version. The Pflaumino version was almost exactly level with the tip of the nozzle on my machine and would drag on the printed part. It is a few millimeters lower than the original Mistral-E duct by Leo_N, which will touch the silicone sock of the Micro Swiss hotend.

I'm not sure how well this will work for other Creality machines or clones.

Printed mine in ASA, but I used PETG for the Mistral-E duct, and it was fine. Suggest using a brim, but on the outside only. I used support on buildplate, but blocked infill on the duct itself. Support is for the mounting bracket that would face the front of the machine. Paint-on support would work too, but I couldn't remember how to do it.

The duct is fragile at the top. Make sure you have z hop or lift z turned on, or your risk having the nozzle break your part. I used 0.8mm, which may be a bit much, but it worked.

The mounting holes are for 2mm screws. Run a drill bit through the holes before mounting, there's not much material there, don't break it.

Category: 3D Printer Accessories
