Micro Stringing Test
prusaprinters

This test was built to test stringing under unfavorable conditions in the minimum amount of material possible.

I designed it because I had consistent stringing issues and printed larger stringing tests over and over, wasting about 2kg of material on that. This Model uses around 22cm of filament and comes out at around 1g.

The two vertical walls are 10mm apart, 10mm in length and 1mm in width. The 1mm is chosen on purpose to force my 0.4mm nozzle printer to squeeze in a 3rd line without really having the space for it. This is mimicking the real world, where models rarely have a width that accommodates full line widths. If you manage to remove stringing in this situation, your printer is dialed in quite well!
