Micro Snap-On Filament Clips
thingiverse
Most of the filament clips I've tried have a few problems that keep me from using them. Mostly, they don't grip well. But, also, they can be bulky and troublesome to apply to my filament. So, like any good engineer, I decided to design my own. I started with the goal to make them easy to connect to the filament but also hold on tight. I found that they could be snapped onto the filament like Legos (Lego, for the pedantic among you) if I gave them longer reins and decreased the inner diameter a bit. Once I perfected the snap-on clasp I began experimenting with different configurations. I prefer the opposing, side-by-side, and S-type configurations but I added many more in case they may be of use. These are designed for 1.75mm diameter filament. They print really quickly and require very little plastic. If you have any ideas for improvement, let me know. I'd be happy to hear your feedback.
