Micro Servo and Ultrasonic Sensor Body for SONAR
thingiverse
Making a custom mount for my controls project requires a way to attach the ultrasonic sensor to the servo, so I needed to find a solution. The servo horn is supposed to fit snugly into the groove on the ultrasonic sensor cover, but it's a bit too tight. To fix this, I simply used a knife to trim it down and super glue worked perfectly. The servo in question is an Hitec HS-55, which can be found here: https://www.hitecrcd.com/products/servos/micro-and-mini-servos/analog-micro-and-mini-servos/hs-55-economy-feather-servo/product. I've also included the dimensions of this servo for your reference. For the ultrasonic sensor, I'm using an HC-SR04 from SparkFun, which can be found here: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/8760. Make sure to check the dimensions on your components before proceeding, as they may vary slightly. To help you visualize the custom mount, I've included Solidworks files that you can customize to fit your needs. Keep in mind that the model might be a bit rough, as I created it quickly.
