micro SD to SD adapter

This is a 3D printable adapter that enables the connection of an SD memory card to a micro SD slot. To create the contact surfaces, I used 0.2 mm copper wire, following the design shown in this image: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CVibVn3I85w/T_gQL2HT2RI/AAAAAAAAADY/YkTdbAXQuFo/s1600/SDpinout.jpg Detailed instructions for building the adapter can be found on Instructables at http://www.instructables.com/id/3D-printable-micro-SD-adapter/. It is essential to glue the pieces together, as the bottom part tends to stay in place quite well without assistance. I had limited success with using this adapter due to the micro SD card being held in position solely by friction. However, when I managed to align it correctly, the connection was established and I could access the files on the micro SD card. I am currently working on an improved version of this design and will aim to increase its reliability to 99%. All credit for the original SD card dummy goes to bathrobotics, whose work can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:659681. Please note that using this adapter involves some risk of damaging your micro SD card due to incorrect wiring. Therefore, use it at your own discretion and responsibility only. The files have been updated on 27.8.2015. The new version features enhanced stability for the micro SD card and improved fitment of the bottom part.
