I've encountered concerns about the micro SD slot on these printers being somewhat fragile. To avoid constantly inserting and removing cards, I opted for an extension instead. If the extension fails, it's easy to replace at a low cost. It seemed prudent to include card storage as well. This design combines elements from several projects I came across, but it's not a direct remix of any one idea.
