Micro SD Extension Control Box Mount for CR-10
thingiverse
This is a simple modification to make the CR-10's awkward Micro SD reader more accessible via a Micro SD extension cable, similar to this one: http://a.co/2yHbtje. The backing snap-fits into place and mounts to the control box by plugging into the voltage switch opening. Two M3 screws can be used to secure the backing to the case, but they are not essential. The case attaches securely using only the voltage switch plug, but for added stability, I recommend using a thin double-sided adhesive tape or sticker: http://a.co/g6QaVIB. The design was inspired by m4kerb0t's clever voltage switch cover on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2591491. I thought, why not repurpose it? Update: There was a large opening that allowed SD cards to fall inside. I adjusted the design to prevent this and tightened up some tolerances as well.
